So I have now been told twice that my blog is boring and I'll admit its been a VERY long time since my last blog. Now is the time to play catch up. Get ready, get set, read! (wow, I'm a nerd)
Where to begin. I guess I'll start with school. It seems to be the most prominent thing in my life at the moment. Taking 17 hours is a bit intense. It's crazy stressful, sleep is not usually very good because I'm super stressed all the time, but it's a good thing. I want to get out of college in a decent amount of time and this is the easiest way to achieve that. My grades are doing pretty good. I MADE A 100 ON MY ENGLISH EXAM. I was the only person out of 210 students to make a perfect score!!! I'm stoked! And I'm passing Political Science which if you know me, is a miracle. Jesus is so good. :)
Other things...Well, family. My sister is pregnant with a little girl! :) I'm so excited to be an aunt. That little girl will be spoiled rotten. My brother-in-law doesn't think I'll be the favorite aunt but I'm determined to be Lorelai Gilmore to this little girl. She will be all kinds of cool. They don't want a lot of pink though and no bows or tutu's. I think little bows are cute though so I'll be purchasing some of those for this little one. But I do agree about the tutu's. Those just look funky on babies.
Friends. Geez. So much I could talk about there. I have the most amazing friends. I've met so many new girls in the sorority I'm pledging. They are all amazing Godly women and I am so blessed to have them in my life. Then there's The Lunch Club. A group of people who are incredible. They make me smile. And then all the friends in between. God has truly blessed me in that area. The people in my life are the people that help me through my days. They keep me smiling and help save my sanity! haha.
And just because I like to share joy with the world, a short video that I find humorous. :)

Now, all of these things are blessings and it makes me realize how great of a God I have. And when my life seems like it's turning upside down I can remember that He is always in control. He has the whole world in His hands. :)

Sometimes I can't believe how good God can be!
Alright so here is my past few months:
April: sign up for fall classes but can't sign up for math or english (boo)
May: take pre-requisite math test and fail also finish spring semester and get all A's and B's (praise Jesus)
June: Go to Spain and France (such an amazing blessing!)
July: take summer school at SPC and have to deal with all of the transfer work so that I can sign up for an english class for the fall, retake math test and pass get to sign up for that class
which leads me to August:
I finally sign up for my English class because of my SPC credit. When I go into my schedule I see that my French class was not at the time I thought I had signed up for in April. I thought I was signed up for a 9 a.m. class and it was at 1 p.m. This totally was messing with my work schedule. I couldn't work as often as I wanted to because I had to be at class at such a random time. (it didn't fit in with the rest of my classes AT ALL) I also at this time was trying to find another job. I ended up finding one at my old elementary school / church but I was also wanting another one on campus so I wouldn't have to work at my job at a movie theater. So, I then found out about Foundation so I went. I wasn't sure if I wanted to go because I was originally supposed to go visit some friends in Abilene. I decided (after some prompting from my parents) to go to Foundation. I signed up and I went, thinking I had the entire weekend figured out. Yeah...I was wrong. God completely showed new things to me and brought some AMAZING people into my life. I didn't think God could do anything better at that point to put me over the moon about Him. Once again, I was wrong. I came back into town to find that the 9 a.m. class that I wanted to take had a spot available. It was over filled when I left to go to Foundation. WOW. I mean I was like, WOW, this is amazing! So then I checked my e-mail because before I had left I had applied for an on campus job not really sure if I would qualify. Well, I got an e-mail from the man in charge of the department that I applied for wanting to interview me. OVER THE MOON. Literally, I was bouncing for joy around my house. Nothing could bring me down. And it still can't.
You know, as Christians I think we take for granted all the marvelous things God can do for us when we're not looking. He is such a HUGE God and we can't even fathom. We can never ever be too absorbed in our own lives to not notice Him because He is never to busy to pay attention to us.

Welp, here it is :)
So, the first blog ever. This should be an interesting relationship. Me and a laptop. In case you don't know me very well, technology and I don't get along. Buuuuutt, oh well. This will be fun! (or at least I hope)
I guess I should give a little bio. My name is Susanna Bender. I am a current sophomore at Texas Tech University (Wreck 'Em Tech!) and I love Jesus! He is AMAZING! I have two older sisters and they are awesome. I also have a fairly cool brother-in-law. My parents are pretty fantastic. I have two dogs who make me smile Memphis who is a golden retriever and Heidi who is my precious dachshund. :) I am an English major with an education minor. Pretty stoked. I want to be a teacher later in life. I have the best friends ever. They are awesome, amazing people. That's pretty much it about me. Jesus, family, and friends. pretty much sums up my life :).
Peace Out Kids.
